About Us

Providence Family Life Center was founded by a Social Worker in 2008, concerned with restoring dignity and respect to individuals who have experienced adverse life experiences. This was achieved by providing acceptance, support, education and access to resources needed to improve their emotional health and well-being.

Our Story

Providence Family Life Center was founded in 2008 as a community outreach organization in Macomb County, Michigan.

From 2008 to 2015, Providence served over 20,000 meals in the community to the homeless and hopeless, clothed more than 5,500 individuals and their families; facilitated more than 1,000 hours of support groups, tutoring, and mentoring; provided thousands of successful referrals for housing, healthcare, and other needs.

Today, we continue this work in Southwest, Florida focusing on those with undiagnosed mental illness, co-occurring substance dependence and disabilities, veterans, children with learning and developmental disabilities and the elderly. Providence Family Life Center is a 501 (c) (3)  Tax Exempt Organization.

These values have stood at the center of the Providence Family Life Center mission since our founding in 2008. We wholeheartedly commit to the work we do with passion and dedication, and inviting others to take part. On top of this, we challenge ourselves to think creatively, applying an innovative approach to all that we do. This mission drives the continued success of Providence Family Life Center.
