Founded by a Social Worker in 2008, the mission of Providence Family Life Center is to promote and restore dignity and respect to individuals who have experienced adverse life experiences by providing acceptance, support, education and access to resources needed to improve their emotional health and well-being. We do this by:
Utilizing a strengths-based approach enabling individuals to develop life skills to meet their needs and move them towards their own destiny
Delivering evidence-based therapeutic assessment and disaster behavioral health interventions
Mobilizing the expertise, experience and reach of social workers to provide disaster preparedness education to at risk, vulnerable communities to mitigate negative outcomes and increase resiliency (recovery).
Providing vital links to community resources and agency referrals for basic needs such as housing, healthcare, childcare, legal aid and financial management through partnerships with local agencies
Advocacy and support for individuals and families through representative payee services and professional guardianship
These values are an expression of the original vision and intent of the Founder.
Caring for the needs of the individual come first.
