Empowering Communities to Thrive and Heal

How We Do Our Work
Providence Family Life Center carries out its mission through education, awareness, and community engagement focused on the mental and physical health impacts of trauma and stressful life events.
We do this by:
-
Sharing clear, easy-to-understand information
-
Offering workshops, trainings, and community education
-
Helping people understand how trauma affects the mind and body
-
Promoting preparedness, resilience, and healthy coping
Our work helps individuals and communities feel informed, supported, and better prepared to respond to challenges.
Our Impact
Providence Family Life Center is a 501 (C) (3) nonprofit organization focused on educating individuals, families, and communities about how hazards — both sudden and chronic — affect mental and physical health.
Since 2008, we have served 26,000+ community members, helping people understand stress and trauma responses, build resilience, and connect with resources they need to flourish. More than $3.5 million in new income has been generated in Lee County through our disability application support, and we have helped 350 individuals secure stable housing, reinforcing our commitment to dignity and opportunity.
